Mikulov is a beautiful town, and the guesthouse is close to the old town. The rooms feel cold and the beds are very narrow. In the evening it’s hard to find the correct gate or entrance. There’s no coat hook in the bathroom.

The location is just a short walk from the center, and I managed to park before the hotel. The bathroom lacked a towel hook, the fridge inside was dirty, and the street-facing window couldn’t be closed with a click, so the ventilation didn’t work. The equipment was very basic. Asking for an extra 150 Kč in cash on the table was embarrassing—it should have been included in the price.

Parking was available in the private yard. However, the apartment we received wasn’t the one shown in the photos; we were moved to a different unit at another location, which was farther from the city center.

“Jedna doba ok. Więcej byłoby ciężko.”

Breakfast is extra paid, but the sheets were clean. Children were still charged the tourist tax even though they’re exempt in Czechia; only adults should be taxed. The “private” street parking isn’t really private and is often full. Noise from other rooms is audible, and a guest staying above us arrived at night, giving the impression they were living in our room.
