We liked the location because it was a 10‑minute walk from Old Town Square—this was the only real positive of the hotel. Unfortunately, our stay at Cloud One Hotel Prague turned out to be a lot more disappointing than we expected. We booked a Queen Deluxe room, but the room we received was extremely small and didn’t resemble the photos that showed a sofa and two large windows. We understand rooms can vary, but the difference was significant. We went to reception to see if anything could be done, including paying to upgrade, but the trainee receptionist was rude and dismissive, basically saying there was nothing he could do. We would have understood if the hotel was fully booked, but the attitude and lack of willingness to help were frustrating. There were also several unexpected shortcomings: no smart TV or mini‑fridge, and a huge desk chair awkwardly positioned in front of a small coffee table, making the already limited space feel even more cramped. We were also disappointed to learn that the rooftop bar was unavailable due to a fire. We understand a fire is outside the hotel’s control, but we were only told about this when we checked in. Had we known beforehand, we probably wouldn’t have chosen this hotel, as the rooftop bar was one of the things that attracted us. The replacement bar in the lobby wasn’t particularly appealing either. Our room was on the 4th floor overlooking a construction site, which was another major issue. We were woken at about 5:20 am by trains and then again at about 6 am by construction work. As light sleepers, this made the stay especially unpleasant. There was no prior warning about either the train noise or the construction, and because the room became stuffy, we couldn’t simply open the windows to get some air without being subjected to even more noise. What also left a bad impression was the atmosphere at reception.
