The female receptionist was exceptionally helpful, speaking Japanese and putting me at ease in a foreign country, and the breakfast was delicious with both Japanese and Vietnamese dishes available. However, there were frequent leaks from sprinklers everywhere; the front desk acted quickly when I reported it, yet some hallways still had puddles, and the location wasn’t great, with the surrounding road in poor condition.

The location was nice, but being on the third floor meant the external view was disappointing, and I found hair and small trash inside the room, which was a let‑down. Also, during breakfast the staff seemed to forget my rice and miso soup, so they were served late.

The spot was convenient and the top‑floor public bath was very comfortable; after checkout, when I struggled to get a Grab taxi, the staff arranged one for me, which I really appreciated. On the downside, the common areas like the corridors and elevators needed air‑conditioning because it was hot, the shower pressure in the room could be stronger, and the water temperature could be a bit higher.

The room was luxurious, but everything in the room—from the sheets to the towels—felt too soft.

Even on Tet’s peak day (the equivalent of January 2nd in Japan) the place stayed open, which was great after touring Hanoi and gave us a convenient place to stay.
