It feels more like a motel, with a convenient spot near the ferry terminal, a parking spot outside the door, a fridge, and a renovated room with nice features, but the exterior walls don’t block noise, so it feels like sleeping on a highway; there’s also a picnic area on the landing directly outside our window where people celebrated into the night, which is poorly planned and detracts from the house.

The room was fine and very clean, the location is within 10 minutes of the city by car, and the room includes a microwave and fridge; in Duinkerke you can hop on the C bus lines for free, which works for the city and surrounding small towns.
