Das Hotel liegt mitten in der Natur und hat einen tollen Ausblick. Gute Ausgangslage für Wanderungen in der Serra da Estrela, aber die nostalgischen Armaturen im Badezimmer sind etwas umständlich zu bedienen.

Between the timeless architectural charm and the breathtaking mountain backdrop, this Pousada made for a great escape, and the staff was friendly throughout our visit; having both indoor and outdoor pools gave us the perfect excuse to stay in and simply relax. However, much of our stay fell short of the standard you would expect from a Pestana property; both of our rooms felt as though they had been closed off for a long time without a deep clean, to the point that the bed sheets had noticeable stains and were never changed throughout our 4-night stay, and the beds were wobbly and uncomfortable. While the staff was well‑intentioned, they seemed to lack basic hospitality training; the clear exception was Matilde at the front desk, who was wonderful and attentive. Several hotel amenities also need investment: the games room had couches falling apart, and the Turkish bath was out of order. Dining options were quite limited, and there was no room service available. The property has great potential, but it needs significant upkeep and management attention.
