“Great heritage hotel with outstanding staff”
I stayed in a charming historic building in the centre of Orosei that looks like a simple door from the street but feels delightful inside. The décor is old‑fashioned and traditional, truly authentic. Andrea handled the check‑in, handed me lemon water, carried my luggage up one floor to room ‘Corallo’, and later gave me detailed tips on local restaurants and sights for my next stops. The spacious room featured a non‑working but picturesque fireplace, a comfortable queen bed, original tile flooring, traditional furnishings including a leather sofa, AC, safe, mini‑fridge, TV, a walk‑in tiled shower with a tiled bench and a sun shower. The bathroom was good but not senior‑friendly because of a big step into the shower, and the steps up to the first floor were a bit tricky. The staff offered to carry our bags up and down the single floor to the room. Breakfast was a generous buffet with almost everything you could want, even cactus fruit. The hotel used to have a restaurant, so there was plenty of seating in various alcoves and rooms, including an outdoor area. Street parking was available not far from the hotel, though that might vary by season. Two excellent trattorias were within a stone’s throw. The only drawback was that entering and exiting the shower was difficult for one of us.
