The site amenities and staff were all excellent. However, the caravan was filthy and dangerous: no working TV, no WiFi, a disgusting cooker with rusted, burnt trays, and cups, cutlery, and plates all filthy. Tiles around the cooker were peeling and hot, posing a fire hazard, so I couldn’t cook and had to eat out every day, adding cost. The waste bin hadn’t been cleaned in months and was disgusting. The couch was stained and smelled awful, the carpet was similarly stained and odorous, and kitchen vents were held up with sellotape and filthy. When it rained, water dripped through the ceiling, which has been bellied for a while. The fire surround had water damage and peeling veneer. Towels smelled of grease, the shower rail fell on my head due to a rusty nail, the shower cubicle door was broken, and vents were filthy. Windows inside and out were mucky with fingerprints. The door handle on the entrance was loose, making it hard to open and a safety hazard. All radiators were dusty and grimy, and there was no plug in the shower room sink. We don’t live like this, so why should we have to endure such filth and danger on holiday? We were supposed to be in the caravan at 3 pm on Monday, but the key code wasn’t given until 4 pm unless we paid more, which was absolutely shocking!
