“Расположение ок. Но с хозяином лучше не общаться и не ездить никуда, иначе потратите время впустую.”
The location was excellent, right on the market, and many tourist spots were within walking distance. We could check in at 9 a.m. and didn't have to wait until lunch after arrival. The owner was stifling; he asked what seemed like normal questions and then suddenly tried to push me into buying stuff and making money. He asked about my train and where I was planning to go as soon as I moved in, then rode me on a scooter to his friends. They offered me train tickets and a trip to Goa at ten times the direct price. He tried to get me to go to Goa, saying the prices were low because of a holiday and would rise later. When I tried to be polite, he stopped and we left. He asked about Indian clothing, I answered, and he took me to more friends selling Indian clothes, which I didn't even look at. He sent them home. He offered a transfer for 1500 baht to take me to a holiday. I declined. The next day he invented a rule that if you don't warn them a day in advance that you're leaving, they'll fine you an extra day. What warning? I paid for the day and I was already saying I'm leaving tomorrow. If there were rooms, I'd extend. I ended up staying three nights. By the way, the huge discount they gave me was already the base price if you book directly—500 rupees. His ad is in a café across the street. The attitude is like dealing with a bag on legs that doesn't understand anything. Very unpleasant. The room had windows facing the noisy market side, with noise and bright lights all night. I had earplugs and a sleep mask, so it was okay, but sleeping was hard. The room had no hot water and looked pretty sad—old and cracked. There are many similar places at this price if you book directly. The location is fine.
