The rooms were spotless, which was great. The breakfast, however, felt pricey for what it offered and could use a bit more variety.

The place sits just ten minutes from Achensee and right at the start of great hiking trails. Shops are a quick walk away, and the indoor playground was a hit with the kids. Cleanliness and friendly staff made the stay a pleasure, though a few small hiccups—no measuring scale on the kitchen mug and an extra €40 fee for the fireplace—were a bit annoying.

We were a big, mixed group—kids, dogs, seniors, adults, plus a couple in a van—and everyone fit in nicely. Evenings in the lodge felt cozy, and the kids slept well. The on‑site restaurant was fantastic, with friendly staff and decent breakfast. The area offered great activities for all ages, and the dog shower and indoor playground were nice touches.
