The spot was spot on, and Mr. Antonio was super helpful and friendly. The room was basic but clean with a brand‑new bathroom. I’d definitely recommend it.

The location was good and the room was wide and clean, with great showers. The only downside was the staircase – it’s part of the place and can be a hassle for older folks.

The B&B sits in a quiet side street in Sulmona’s historic centre. There’s no parking right next to the house and you can’t really drive in to unload luggage. That didn’t bother us, and we were lucky to find a free spot nearby. We never met the owner, but the written communication through Booking was friendly and smooth, with quick answers to our questions. Breakfast was served in a bar just around the corner. What you should know: payment was made in cash to the helpful cleaning lady when we arrived. You should bring the full amount, including local tax, ready to pay. Also note: getting into our room required climbing two steep stairs, which we were warned about beforehand. The accommodation itself was fine and we enjoyed it. The description on Booking should definitely mention the steep stairs – someone with a mobility issue or heavy luggage might struggle to reach the room. A note about cash payment would also help (I expected a card option). For us, neither of those was a problem.

In the historic centre of Sulmona, close to all the main sights and a great base for several day trips. The host was exceptional and ready to help with any request, from excursion tips to check‑in and check‑out times. The room and bathroom were spotless, and the bathroom was larger than average. We regret only staying three nights! Highly recommended. The staircase to the first‑floor room is steep, but since it’s a historic building there’s no other option… I’d come back anyway!
