“Uma experiência que todo mundo deveria ter pelo menos uma vez na vida!”
Despite being a cliché, the phrase "Não há palavras para descrever esta experiência" might be the best way to talk about this stay. I’ll try to describe it: from the moment we arrived, we were picked up from Hoedspruit airport by the Kapama team in an open‑air safari vehicle, and on the way to the lodge we could already see local wildlife like impalas and giraffes, something that really surprises any tourist. At Kapama we were immediately greeted impeccably by a 10‑star team, very courteous, polite, and helpful. The place has an external structure fully integrated with nature, and you can see some wild herbivores roaming among the rooms. The room was absurdly good: very spacious, a super comfortable bed, excellent air conditioning, a large bathroom with an exceptional shower and a bathtub, plus a small balcony integrated with the outdoor environment where you can sit, enjoy a good South African wine while relaxing and watching the animals mentioned. The meals were a spectacle in themselves, with a varied a la carte menu that changed daily, plus personalized service from the staff member "Thi" who was super kind throughout our stay. The safari offered by the lodge was a unique and incredible experience, surpassing any expectation we had, with thermal water bottles provided during the open‑air car ride because it was cold in the region. The cars hold only six people, making it more intimate and private. Simply a once‑in‑a‑lifetime experience! The only thing we didn’t like was having to leave and say goodbye to this paradise! It was worth every cent paid. The weather in the region, which is obviously beyond the accommodation’s control, was not the best. With cold and rain, the open‑air safari experience is somewhat compromised. But it should be a sign that we should come back another time with better weather, haha.
