We found the accommodation in a complete state of disarray upon arrival. A toilet was installed in the shower, and there was grime everywhere. It took several hours to fix the problem, the housekeeper was unhelpful, and the owner pledged a refund that never materialized. It remains the worst hotel experience I’ve had.

The place is very close to the square. The hot water was off, there were no toiletries, cleanliness was poor, the mattress was very uncomfortable and cheap, and the mattress cover was very dirty.

The room was cool, the bed comfy, and the bathroom spacious. The apartment is part of a very nice, quiet building. When I arrived, I wasn’t answered on the phone promptly and I was left in a bind.

The only good thing was the location and the air conditioning, with two units for 50 square meters. The owner described the place as a historic building, but the bathroom was terrible—during the first shower the drain clogged and we floated in the water, and some corners of the shower were completely covered in mildew (see photo). We were accompanied by some cute ants that appeared in the wardrobe that led to the bathroom. The fridge was almost unusable, and the historic property lacked Wi‑Fi, which the owner blamed on an island‑wide issue. The only bright spot was the great location. I wouldn’t recommend it; I think one must love their job or at least have a little passion, otherwise you can’t leave a place to itself. It’s not that you pay €10 a night, but we spent €600 for two nights.
