“Jivana is a nice gem on Irabu island. If you go there you won’t forget the experience.”

The island where the resort is located is really nice. Generally speaking the environment is better than Miyako itself which seems kind of worn out. You need a transportation method though (we rented bikes) because uber/taxi might not be always available. The resort has been recently renovated and the room was super cozy and chic. The pool overlooking the ocean was a real treat. They were hard to get in touch with both through Booking platform and per email. Once we arrived they gave us a Whatsapp contact that they do not monitor constantly though. Staff leaves the property at night. We had some sort of misunderstanding regarding my vegan diet that I tried to communicate beforehand but in the end they provided vegan breakfast every day. The non vegan options were all pretty much good. They were generally very kind and helpful and got me in touch with the bike rental pretty fast

今回はdinnerがついていないプランでしたが、次はdinnerのプランで宿泊したいなと思います。 オーシャンビューでプールに入ったり、ベッドでゴロンとしたりとっても良かったです( ¨̮ )

“Okay, could be better, over priced”

Quiet and spacious, very good bed, decent sea views. Not very well finished room: TV wires exposed, very dark bathroom sink area with terrible lighting, no guttering in a typhoon zone—exterior dripping rainwater onto the outside deck was very noisy so I needed earplugs to sleep. Very uncomfortable wooden sun loungers with no cushions. Breakfast just ok, no Bluetooth speaker to connect your phone. I’ve stayed in better places for a fraction of the price. Room for improvement—doesn’t seem to have been fully thought through, which is crazy considering the price.

The location was unbeatable, with the sea of Miyako‑jima right in front offering an incredible view. Because they cut staff costs, the front desk only replied via LINE, and water kept dripping from the balcony ceiling so half of the balcony was constantly soaked; I asked for help but nothing was done, and when I mentioned it at checkout the staff just said “I’ll let them know (smile)” without apologising. I had to step around the puddles to get outside, and the ocean view from the window was ruined. Since this isn’t a brand hotel, don’t expect much hospitality – only the bare minimum was provided.
