The place is in a great spot, just a short walk from shops, bars, restaurants, and the Harbour. The room was clean and lovely, and checking in and out was straightforward. The only hiccup was that our room was on the fourth floor, so we had to climb four flights of stairs—something people who are not used to stairs should be aware of, especially if you live in a bungalow. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

The location was fine. The room was too hot when you enter, the light kept turning on and off, the lock on the second door was broken so you couldn't open the bathroom window, the WC seat was loose, the brush was dirty, the toilet didn't flush well, the mattress needs replacing, and a green emergency light stayed on all night.

The location wasn't too far from Whitby sights. The endless stairs and the fact that the room was in the rafters, with a head of eaves of roof, made it unpleasant. No mention was made of any restrictions for tall people or mobility issues, which made the stay very uncomfortable. Rooms 10 and 11 should have a warning in their descriptions.

Very comfortable and clean, with a great room, bathroom, and bed. The location is excellent. Rooms 10 and 11 are on the top of the stairs, third floor, which is very difficult for an older person like myself; ask for a lower floor if possible or available. Otherwise, fantastic.

The Lansbury’s location is ideal because it’s very close to everything. The room was very comfortable and offered great value for money. I highly recommend anyone to stay there. When I booked, I understood it was a bed and breakfast, but we weren’t told until we arrived that it was room only.
