“Not the best for what was charged. Disappointing, Staff should have a good look at them selves”

The drive to a beautiful place in Victoria, Australia. The room smelled on entry, the mopped floor stank, not a good start. Disinfectant should be used. Towels were thin and later stained. The bathroom shower tiles had a white film (body fat); the sink was clean and had scented hand wash and shampoo on display. Inside the cupboards were glasses that smelled; one glass had a smudge with lipstick traces. The bedroom had a comfy mattress, the duvet was okay, the sheet had no iron crease to indicate cleanliness. We used our own pillows. The occasional table was wobbly and the carpets had a quick clean where we found paper, dead flies, and children's crayons under the TV. And finally, breakfast wasn’t available on day two and we went elsewhere. I have photos.

“It was convenient for a one night stay.”

I liked the convenient spot and the comfy room, especially the handy toaster. The room sat in a weird corner, only reachable through a dim passage, and the gardens looked overgrown and neglected. Inside, we only had one water glass, one plate, two mismatched mugs, and no cutlery at all.

The place was cheap and well‑located, but I had to request towels because none were provided, and the fridge was turned off so it wasn’t cold.

“Great location, but old and poorly kept. Overpriced for what you get.”

The location in Halls Gap was great, just a short walk to the town centre, and the view of the surrounding mountains from the room door was breathtaking; the heating was already on when we arrived, so it was warm. However, the property was very shabby and overpriced, with outdated fittings that were either broken or filthy, a horrible shower, and no room servicing for multi‑night stays even though it wasn’t advertised.
