Umah Kerta Guest House

Thanks a lot to Ketut, Putu and the whole family for opening their home to me; the welcome was warm and genuine. I loved spending my vacation at Umah Kerta guesthouse, where the room was clean, spacious and fully equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The setting is quiet, far from the city’s bustle, and Ketut showed me part of his island and we had great conversations. I leave with a touch of sadness and strongly recommend Umah Kerta guesthouse.

The guesthouse is beautiful, the room is exceptionally clean and the bedding is good quality. Breakfast is simple but includes amazing herbal tea and fresh fruit, giving a peaceful start to the day in a very relaxing compound. Everyone here is extremely friendly and the temple setting is very evocative. The dogs can be a bit intimidating at night when you return to the front entrance, but there’s a back gate that leads directly to the bedrooms, which you can use instead.

The guest house is beautiful with a kind, accommodating owner. There’s lovely outdoor space outside my room for yoga and a full kitchen that’s handy. Boiling water is provided outside my door each morning, which is nice. A back gate for scooter parking is a plus. The location is on a relaxed, quiet street with a good laundry just up the road, close to a yoga barn, and not too far from the city centre. The place is clean, comfortable, has a good shower, and the price is great. The only thing that might annoy some people is the dogs barking, but they’re cute and didn’t bother me. Just be mindful and quiet if you’re returning late at night because the dogs might wake others.

I had a wonderful stay at Umah Kerta; the hosts were great, very friendly, and welcoming. The garden was beautiful and relaxing. The room felt new, comfortable, clean, and modern, and the hot water in the shower always worked perfectly. They offered tea, coffee, and snacks every morning, which was a nice surprise. I would definitely stay here again.

The accommodation was clean and exactly as described. Service was prompt and everything we needed was responded to quickly. It’s located in a quiet neighbourhood yet very close to central points of interest. The driver they provided was exceptional, polite, and completely reliable. Thank you for the hospitality.
