“Nice apartment for short stay”
The place is great for reaching local sights and catching trains to farther destinations. Breakfast was served at the cafe beside the apartment, the staff were friendly, and the food was good with plenty of options. The staff replied quickly and were helpful. On the downside, the stairwell lights are timed and turn off before you finish the first flight, making it dangerous because you can’t reach the switch in time for the next set of stairs. The kitchen is very basic, only a kettle and a coffee machine; coffee pods and sugar are supplied but no milk. The coffee machine broke and the issue wasn’t fixed during our five‑day stay, so we had no hot drinks. The fridge came with two small bottles of water that were not refilled daily. We didn’t use the top floors; the hot tub is more like a large bath that you’d have to fill yourself, which would have taken a long time, so we skipped it. That room had a lot of dampness on the walls. There is a roof terrace, but it lacked sun loungers, which would have been great with the lovely weather. The bin men’s noise in the morning is loud and seems endless. Because the apartment is tucked in an alley, staff from the cafe sit right outside the door and often on the doorstep each day, so if the doors were open you could hear them chatting and smelling smoke. The apartment offered very little hanging space, only a few hangers and no drawers.
