The place is stunning and I really enjoyed my time there. It’s tucked away and super quiet, with a clear artistic feel throughout. There’s a tiny whiskey bar on site, and you can tell the owner is into both art and classic rock.

I ended up booking a surprisingly good guesthouse in Jiangxi, and it turned out to be a real treat. The hosts are friendly, and the house even has adorable kittens roaming around. They serve all three meals, and the food is homemade and delicious—clearly the host knows her way around the kitchen. She’s also a photographer who runs a little photo exhibition at the place. The rooms are mostly wooden, smell nice when you step in, and at night there’s a small bar with cheap, pleasant drinks.
