Good value for a budget trip. The walk from the accommodation to the city center feels a bit deserted at night, but the neighborhood seems calm. The first night was a nightmare, with a lot of noise from other guests in the room; I spoke with the owner and she assured me those guests were leaving, and it really improved the next night. I was glad I didn’t cancel the nights and lose money! The owner has many cats—great for cat lovers, but not for me, since I spent most of the day out, they only bothered me when I was having coffee; sometimes they’d even enter the kitchen despite her scolding! Still, thanks for the days I spent in Barreirinhas.

The service is excellent, the people are friendly, and it’s a very pleasant and complete place. You can arrange a tour to the Lençois Maranhenses! Breakfast was delicious. I recommend it 100%.
I really liked the stay! The location is very good, just a few minutes’ walk from Barreirinhas center. The beds are comfortable and I liked the cabin layout because it gives plenty of privacy even in a shared room. You can stay in your space calmly without feeling like you’re bothering or being bothered all the time. Wi‑Fi worked great throughout the stay and the staff were always very helpful. Breakfast is simple, not many options, but it has the basics and is adequate. Overall, it was a great experience and I’d stay again. A few points to note: at night I’d avoid walking alone between the center and the hostel if you’re unfamiliar with the area, because some streets are poorly lit. Another point is that the kitchen closes at a certain time, which can be a bit inconvenient if you need to grab water or something you left there overnight. There are also few bathrooms for the number of guests, so sometimes you may need to wait.
