When I checked in, a young front‑desk guy named Xiao Long—later I learned his name—was polite and patient, making me feel right at home; the rest of the staff were also diligent, and I truly appreciate their work, so if I get another chance to visit Vientiane, I’ll definitely stay again. On the downside, it would have been better if a fly screen had been placed over the breakfast that hadn’t been used yet; seeing several flies on the food really hurt my appetite.

The room was very quiet, with no outside noise, and the bed was extremely stable.

I got to the airport at 11:30 PM, there were no cars, so I called the hostel; this was my first time in Laos, and the staff picked me up on a motorcycle, which moved me deeply. The hostel was very clean, and the staff worked hard because so many people were staying there, constantly cleaning. I’ve stayed in many hostels in Thailand, they were much more expensive… but nowhere near as comfortable as this one.
