“PESSIMO”
Breakfast was missing, even if you paid for it, and the restaurant was non‑existent; bottled water couldn’t be bought and tap water in Port Antonio isn’t drinkable. The hotel sits in the middle of nowhere on a fast‑traffic road without a sidewalk. The page’s location and restaurant details were wrong. Guests were given a kettle, two spoons, two forks, two plastic plates, a few small cups and saucers, which you had to wash in the bathroom with hand soap. I had trouble with the resident cat because my niece is allergic to fur, severe stomach issues at night after sipping a sweetened tea kindly offered by the lady, but contaminated with insects, and most of all I had issues with the manager. I spoke to him via WhatsApp; after my complaints he replied arrogantly, verbally aggressive and humiliating, even though I was in a fragile health state. You can see his responses to guests who dared criticize the property. I’ll say he can write anything in reply to my review, but I won’t read it because I don’t want anything to do with such a person. I stayed there purely for economic reasons; the manager offered a refund for two of the five remaining days, with the condition that we leave that same day. I didn’t accept; we left a day early, and we wouldn’t have stayed even a minute if the manager had been there. Luckily the lady present, the manager’s wife, was very kind and helpful.
