Ostseehotel Villen im Park, a 4-star Rovell Hotel, is nestled in a large park in Bansin's heart, 10 minutes from the white, sandy beach. The hotel features bright, non-smoking rooms, a wellness area with indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, and fitness centre. Two restaurants, a cognac and cigar lounge, dance bar, and wine cellar are also on site, with bike rental available.

The room was spacious and offered plenty of room. I liked that the bedroom could be separated, which was great for keeping the dog. Breakfast had everything you could wish for and was very abundant. The outdoor area was well maintained and highly recommendable. The dog park was a bit far, but we managed on foot.

The hotel’s quiet setting in a forest‑park‑like area is appealing, and the outdoor pool is very nice. The food, both in the restaurant and at the self‑serve buffet, was good. The room left a worn impression, with wallpaper peeling in places. We were surprised that the housekeeper didn’t tidy our room, clear the trash, or make the beds. The indoor pool looks pretty, but it’s in a dark basement and the showers don’t work.

The room was only cleaned when we left a note on the door. The shower next to the indoor pool smelled bad, there were too few (two‑person) tables in the restaurant, and there were almost no vegan options available with half‑board.

A very nice hotel with a great surrounding area and plenty of other amenities. The value for money is good and the breakfast selection is solid, offering something for everyone. The only downside was the limited variety at breakfast – the vegetable platter (cucumbers, tomatoes, mozzarella) felt a bit thin, and a meat salad would have been nice. Overall, the offering is very good.

In Bansin, August prices were still affordable—probably because it’s about 1 km from the beach! The breakfast buffet was very generous. The restaurant staff seemed a bit stressed, likely due to insufficient personnel for the restaurant, bar, and hotel lounge during dinner. The a la carte restaurant served delicious food. Service staff in the outdoor area were friendly and quick. The reception’s location was inconvenient for cars; we arrived by UBB and couldn’t spot the reception from Seestraße because it’s on the back side. Entering from the front required climbing about 20 steps to the reception, no elevator, making it hard with luggage. Those with limited mobility should book the main house. The villas are not recommended; they have elevators, but you must walk several flights or longer sloped paths to the restaurant, which isn’t doable for everyone with a walker. In the “Seeadler” building, the so‑called sun terrace could be nicely upgraded with cleaning and flowers.
