The host was very friendly and helpful, and the accommodation had everything we needed. The location was a bit off; the neighborhood felt somewhat unsafe at night, especially for solo female travelers, and public transport connections were not great.

The room had a terrace, was 20 minutes from the beach and town centre, and 35 minutes from a train station by foot. The beach was beautiful, the sea warm, and the food good. Taormina and Siracusa/Ortigia are nearby and worth seeing. September was still hot—35 °C! I’d definitely recommend visiting Sicily. The property sits on a narrow one‑way road that gets busy; I struggled to open the door at first until it clicked, but Fabiola was very helpful. Stick to main roads to avoid running into piles of rubbish. Public transport is a better choice than driving a rented car.

I loved the location, the huge apartment, and the rooftop spot where you could soak up the sun; everything was handy, from kitchen supplies to other essentials, and there was nothing else to complain about.
