Cozy and charming, rustic yet modern, well thought out, centrally located – I was unfortunately too short to fully enjoy my stay, but I’ll definitely come back for that. A very rustic old house, my room and bathroom were set up to modern standards. Coffee machine in the room, plus access to a spacious shared kitchen and lounge. Very friendly, flexible contact (even though we never met in person). Parking next to the building and practically in the middle of town.

Spacious rooms, new bathroom, option to lock bikes in a secure shed, quiet nights until the morning. The TV channels were poorly received.

“Gezellig tussen de balken”

I was welcomed warmly by the owner, who shared useful tips about museums, public transport, and restaurants in Neheim. The old timber‑framed building is nicely decorated with a nod to its history, and the creative solutions for shower and toilet—like the large freestanding cabin in my room—work great. The bike parking is well secured. However, the hotel doesn’t offer breakfast, so you have to go out. That’s fine, but keep in mind that on Sunday the water pressure in Neheim is very low. I only found a decent breakfast café with a buffet, but it was packed. Buying sandwiches on Saturday is also an option!

“Perfekte Unterkunft auf dem Ruhrtalradweg”

A truly unique hotel right on the edge of downtown, offering a nice space for bikes, a coffee machine and two complimentary bottles of water.
