It was fantastic! We had a large terrace and a spacious room with a tidy bathroom and working air conditioning. The family that owns the place were very kind and helpful, and the location is close to good restaurants and within walking distance of both Hiritekiya and Dickwella beach. Nothing else.

For the price, the place is a great choice. The rooms are large and very clean, and we didn’t get a single mosquito in the room. The air conditioning is excellent and quiet, so we didn’t need a mosquito net. The property is a bit off the main buzz, making it quiet at night, yet it’s only a 5‑minute walk to the beach and cafés. The host family is friendly and helpful with any questions. The only downside: in the lovely bathroom the shower drain is a bit too small, so everything sits under water, but we had a pull‑out to fix it. During rain, the Wi‑Fi had problems.

For the price I paid, I got a perfect room: super clean, spacious, good AC, and a balcony. It was a short walk to the center, and the gate made it feel very safe. I was also allowed early check‑in. The only issues were that the bed was very hard and the towels were rough, but that’s all I can say; for the price it was really top.
The location was good, just a 5‑minute walk to Hiriketiya beach. The room was near the beach and clean. However, there was no free drinking water bottle; it was chargeable if I wanted one. The bathroom had some issues but they were manageable.
