A beautiful old historic hotel with clean modern rooms and private balconies overlooking the Fjord in the quiet hamlet of Maryfjora; the restaurant is excellent, breakfast superb, and the café across the street also serves great food—I'd happily live here. The only drawback is that the hallway carpet up to the rooms is quite old; otherwise, it's a wonderful place to stay.

The location is very nice and the balcony offers a great Fjord view; breakfast is very good and the house is overall very original. The overall service quality was lacking—especially in the off‑season I expected rooms to be properly prepared and heated during bad weather, but that wasn’t the case and it was uncomfortably cold.

A lovely breakfast with cozy background music; the hotel fits my taste with plenty of history. I just wish the lounge chairs were a bit better 😄

The spot by the fjord is nice, and the front desk staff were friendly. In mid‑August, both the restaurant and the adjacent café were already closed, and the nearest other restaurant was about a 30‑minute drive away.

The hotel feels pretty good, especially with its fjord view. The manager was very kind and helpful, making the stay enjoyable. The rooms are in the newer part of the building, which isn’t obvious from the photos. The concept is simple: rooms are basic, lacking a fridge, kettle, or TV.
