“Zadovovoljava”
The reception works all night and there is ample parking. The only downside is that the building's façade is old and otherwise nothing.
“Betaalbare overnachting in Hamburg.”
It was cleaner than I’d expected after reading the reviews, and the paintings were nice. There were a lot of noises.
“Einmal und nie wieder”
Nothing good. The beds were sagging, the bathroom was tiny, and the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful.
The staff were friendly and available around the clock, everything stayed clean, and the kitchen with fridge, microwave and stove was handy. The rooms were small but acceptable, and the price was fair. I’d recommend the place for a few nights, especially if you’re on a tight budget and want the option to cook your own meals. The downside was that the door gaps at the bottom let in a lot of noise, so we were woken by a bug that flew in the hallway and could hear traffic all night. The hostel is quite far from the main train station, and there’s only one bathroom for all the men and another for all the women, meaning you can’t use the toilet if someone is showering.
“Alles in Ordnung”
We stayed one night after a stadium visit; the room was small and only had a bed. Wi‑Fi was good in the lobby but weaker in the basement. The rooms were definitely clean and freshly made. We had a room with a shared bathroom, which was also clean and clearly tidied. It’s very close to public transport and the stadium is within walking distance, plus there’s a train station nearby. For a football trip it’s totally fine for the price, but don’t expect too much. The staff were very nice, whether it was the late shift or night shift. There’s a communal kitchen where you can cook yourself. For a longer stay you’d better book somewhere else, but for football fans it’s great.
