The Waggon Stables Boutique Accommodation

“Good but attention to detail could be better.”

The room is spacious and the décor is nice, but the bathroom tiles around the toilet were not cleaned properly, two light bulbs were out, and the conditioner was empty, indicating the room wasn’t fully checked before check‑in.

“relaxing and pleasant”

We adored room 4; it was spacious enough for my partner, me, and our baby to play. The layout was smart, the bathroom was clean and functional, and the heated floor added a nice touch of luxury. For the price and room size, we’ll definitely return. The staff and housekeeping were very friendly. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but the food looked amazing from the outside. The only minor gripe is that the bed felt a bit too soft, especially with the baby, so we sank into each other a bit. Still comfortable, just a bit tricky for us.

The beds were very comfy and food purchased at restaurant was top notch. Great shower, good temp. Air con was great. Did not realise it was a few rooms attached to a pub. There are many steps and no lift as its an older property. Pillows were very high and hard. Dirty wall in bathroom. Looks like someone has thrown something at the wall. No incidentals such as iron or hair dryer or microwave. No cleaning of rooms or towels. I was there about 5 days. Could hear noise from outside party and can as also hear front door downstairs banging as people come in and out in the evening. Not very friendly I am a senior and I found myself being ignored for other younger patrons when in the restaurant. Was not offered any help to get my bag up the stairs. Probably a good enough place to crash after drinking in the bar but not a Boutique hotel. Was disappointed I found myself there

“A fantastic stay with friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and a welcoming atmosphere—we'll definitely”

We stayed at the Waggon Hotel and it was a delight; the rooms were spotless, cozy, and tastefully decorated, perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. The staff greeted us warmly and went above and beyond to make us feel right at home. The spot was spot-on, with easy access to local sights, and the overall vibe of the hotel was welcoming. The meals were a highlight, with high quality and generous servings. All in all, a superb stay that we’d gladly repeat, and we’d strongly suggest the Waggon Hotel to anyone seeking comfy lodging, friendly staff, and a relaxing atmosphere.
