“Nie wieder!!!”
We were told upon arrival that we would be housed in a different building, not far away, a holiday apartment with two bedrooms on the upper floor and a common area below that we couldn’t access. They explained how to get there, about a 3‑minute drive. Instead of heading straight to the accommodation, we explored the surroundings and had dinner. At the country inn there was a grill night with prior registration. Around 10 pm we finally found our lodging and were surprised by the arrangement. The house looked nice from the outside, but the staircase inside was steep. In the room we immediately faced a very steep storage staircase. It was very warm; the heating was cranked up, and we had to open the roof windows overnight to make sleeping on the uncomfortable beds somewhat possible. The narrow wardrobe was jammed with bedding, so the suitcase had to sit on the table. The bathroom was small but functional. The steep staircase in the room led to another area with two beds. The room was very drafty; we could hear the conversations between a child and his father in the neighboring room clearly. The next morning, at the country inn’s breakfast, we had to face a large dog. He was calm but roamed freely in the breakfast area and the grounds. Because of his size he could look over our table and tried to lick my husband’s arm while eating, which was too close. If you have a dog allergy, you should avoid this. When we went to return the key and spoke to the lady at the unbooked accommodation, she showed no understanding of our frustration. She said we could not leave because a guest had not departed, and that was the problem, not the first nor the last time this would happen.
