“value 4 money”
It’s cheap and cheerful, exactly what it promises, and offers good value for money.
“Avoid this place at all cost”
The rooms and bathrooms were filthy, forcing us to leave after the first night because it felt like an infection zone. They promised a refund for the remaining nights but never followed through.
“Our stay at beverley inn”
The location is good, the value for money is solid, and the bedding and towels are clean. There’s a separate entrance from the pub. The shower temperature swings from hot to cold in a minute, and the cold water is very cloudy even after running for a long time, making it unsuitable for drinking. The mattress is very uncomfortable.
“Clean but uncomfortable and needs updating”
The welcome was friendly and the rooms came with plenty of tea and coffee, clean sheets and towels, but the rooms needed repainting, had many marks, cracks and chips on the walls, the bathroom was tiny and the shower or toilet had to elbow the wall; the light flickered in the main room, the bed springs were felt in the mattress, the walls were paper‑thin so you could hear other guests in the corridor and adjacent rooms, and the door was stiff to lock and had to be slammed shut.
“Breaking Up The Journey”
The staff were excellent and we enjoyed a half‑hour cheesy Freddie Mercury tribute act; they even sold beer at £1.50 a pint, which was great. The room was solid, feeling like a hotel that still keeps a copy of the good book in a drawer, haha. The landlady warned me at check‑in that there would be a turn‑on, but it would finish by around 11, which didn’t bother me. Anyone who books rooms above pubs and then complains about noise after 9 or 10 pm is an idiot and should be put away for the sake of the rest of us. Nothing else to complain about.
