The owner was very kind and could speak Japanese, which made my stay feel safe. If you want to experience local vibes but feel a bit uneasy, this place is recommended. It’s close to the Ganges and you can see it from the roof. During my visit I enjoyed tea and homemade lunch, and had pleasant chats with the owner. I’ll definitely come back when I return to Varanasi. The surrounding hotels are all similar, but the location is tough for first‑timers; I had to ask locals to find it.

The manager was very helpful and always available at any hour of the day or night. It’s hard to locate in the alleys, but the manager came to pick us up and show the way.

I spent four nights at Shiva Guest House in Varanasi and had an amazing time. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the house feels like home the moment you step in. The rooms are simple yet super cozy, and I think it was one of the best places I stayed at during my trip. I recommend it to everyone. Everything was perfect.

There were staff who spoke Japanese and were very kind. The food at the restaurant was delicious, the rooms were comfortable, and the value for money was excellent. Because of this, I fell in love with Varanasi. Thank you very much. Nothing to add.
