The place itself looked nice, but the description was misleading—“PRIVATE” in English doesn’t mean exclusive. We paid £365 for a night, expecting a private entrance and a private room with a pool, yet all facilities were shared and nothing was private. The site lied, we didn’t stay, and we’re fighting to get our money back. Local rooms cost about £100, so this was overpriced for shared amenities.

The family room was huge and very functional, and the place was very “kid friendly.” A pleasant surprise arrived with our three children: plenty of games and books in a large foyer right outside our room. The pool area was also fantastic!

Christian helped us a lot after we got stranded in Montluçon. The castle is a great family spot with plenty of play options for kids, a very peaceful setting, and a large garden at the property.
