“Very basic but just passable if on a budget for a short 1/2 night stay o”

The location is convenient, close to the station and the city centre. The kitchen area was not clean enough, with very few glasses and basic items like a handful of cups and plates. The front room I stayed in definitely needs a new mattress.

“We won't be coming back...”

It was conveniently located next to a nice breakfast café. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a good night’s sleep. The kitchen was not kept clean (even the cutlery on the drainer had to be rewashed before use), and washing up was still there from the previous day. There were no tea or coffee provisions as promised, and the milk in the fridge was dated 6th Nov. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, with springs digging into your back; a mattress topper would have helped. The room was freezing and the central heating had been switched off before we arrived. Single glazing made it noisy and cold. The bedding and blanket didn’t smell fresh, and the bathroom had used towels scattered around with no hand soap or hand towel. We were glad to leave in the morning—it felt like staying in student digs. I’m sorry to say we won’t be returning.

“Great for a quick night. Clean and well priced.”

The hotel sits right beside the train station and the rooms were spotlessly clean, but the WiFi kept dropping in and out.
