Hotel Giannina, a 3‑star retreat 7 km from Forlì Airport, sits amid Romagnolo countryside gardens dotted with palms. Guests enjoy a large outdoor pool, sun deck with loungers and hammock, and free Wi‑Fi in bright, spacious rooms. The on‑site restaurant serves regional cuisine in a warm, airy hall, while free parking and optional private garage serve travelers along historic Via Emilia.

The tranquility.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool and especially the kids’ area are definitely appreciated, making the place convenient for families. The location is practical for travelers passing through, being close to the highway exit. Overall, for a one‑night stop, we were quite satisfied. The rooms and surroundings feel a bit dated and would benefit from renovation. Floor cleaning could also improve, as we found a lot of dust. Breakfast is quite simple, but still fits the category of the property.

The place was quiet, but it was a shame that the restaurant was closed during August.

The rooms were clean and the bedding comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and cozy, but one of our two rooms had a cold cigarette smell so we had to ask for a change. It’s 8 minutes by car from the pretty village of Bertinoro, where we chose to dine in the evenings, and 12 minutes from the highway, which is convenient for a one‑night stop while heading back up Italy. The breakfast was far below a three‑star hotel standard, lacking scrambled eggs, pastries, and decent juice; checkout was at 10 am.

We used the hotel as a base for Cremonini’s concert in Imola; arriving from the south the road was long and we weren’t close to the event, so the price was definitely acceptable. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the bathroom large and equipped with a mini‑size for personal hygiene. It was a pity we never got to try the pool. The rooms weren’t fully sound‑proof, so we could hear noises from neighboring rooms. Breakfast was excellent but limited, especially on the more “continental” side, though overall it was well supplied.
