Excellent lunch – beautiful location. I get provoked when I’m met with English speech in my own country. It would be fine if it had to be, but staff should at least learn to say “sorry, but I speak very poor Norwegian. I’m learning, but I hope it’s okay to use English now.”

A unique immersion in nature, in the life of a fishing village. Fishing, island walks. Dinner – “high‑end cuisine” level. Very caring staff. I haven’t seen anything like this in Europe. It feels like living in a comfortable tent in the forest. No complaints.

The local vibe was indescribable and the experience wonderful. The hotel itself was amazing, with cozy rooms and a decor full of personality. The hotel pub was sensational. The rowing boat and canoes available were a great extra. The Saga Siglar museum was an exceptional surprise. If I could suggest something, I’d ask for a sauna and a small sailboat (ILCA, snipe…) to be added.

The location is beautiful and the room in the historic building was lovely, with the option to have dinner on the island. It was odd that a dinner reservation made two days earlier wasn’t passed on to the staff, and during the meal three of our party of five received their main courses first while the other two had to wait until the first three were done; they were later offered dessert as a make‑up.
