The spot is great and the exterior looks adorable, but the A/C in the first room was broken, and the Wi‑Fi stayed dead the whole time—no one could fix it. I asked them to reset the router, but they couldn’t find it. They also left an empty tissue box in the room, took it away, and didn’t replace it.

The staff were friendly, kind, and helpful, and the walk to the cog railroad was easy. The place is undergoing renovations, so it’s a little noisier than I’d like.

The team was very pleasant and helped us stay an extra night because we were too exhausted to travel back that day.

The location, history, porch, and bar were all nice, and the room had the amenities we needed. Renovations were happening, which made the noise louder and a bit unsightly, but they tried to steer us away from the trouble. The shower was cold and hard to operate, and the drain was slow, making showering unpleasant.

I appreciated the location and the historic charm of the hotel, but there was no coffee downstairs or snack options, and the only way to have breakfast was to eat in the restaurant.
