It offers excellent value, good location and a very good breakfast. The staff are friendly, attentive and welcoming. It was a very pleasant experience! Room cleanliness could be better, there were spider webs in both the room and the bathroom. Another area needing improvement is the towel quality, which left a lot to be desired.

Location and reception. Breakfast was okay. Bathroom cleanliness left a bit to be desired. The toilet seat was broken. There was also a broken glass in the room that made it chilly.

I was blown away by the place—hospitality, food, and comfort were all top‑class, and the whole spot feels alive with art and history everywhere you look. It sits right in the heart of Ouro Preto, and Pouso Chico Rey really captured our hearts. I only stayed a few days, but I wish I’d had more time.

The location was great and the staff were friendly, but the building’s condition was poor. They should preserve the whole history of the manor by renovating the electrical system, windows, and walls. Our bathroom looked like it was about to collapse.

The hosts were helpful and the location was fine, but the breakfast was just average. We knew the house was old, but we didn’t expect it to be so run‑down for the price and the photos were misleading. The bathroom had no window, the shower glass was loose and nearly falling. The linens smelled old, the towels were terrible, parking was tight, and there was no fan. The place just lacks care in its upkeep.
