The location, reception area, bar, and restaurant all had a strong character. I stayed here in 2023 and was really impressed, but by 2026 I noticed a few maintenance hiccups: the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall, the bathroom mirror was on hinges that needed tightening, wallpaper in the bedroom was peeling in spots, and the bedside lamp’s shade cover was lifting.

Finding the place was a breeze and the free parking was a nice perk. The spot is great for catching the funicular up to the high town. The staff greeted us warmly and guided us to our studio, which was well-equipped. Breakfast arrived with a solid mix of hot and cold options. The only downside was the creaking floorboards in studio 1; every time someone upstairs moved, the noise was audible.

The bar area was a highlight—clean, welcoming, and full of good vibes. Check‑in was straightforward, and parking was hassle‑free. I appreciate the quirky charm of Bridgnorth, and every facility was solid and accommodating. 👍

The décor and furnishings were beautiful, and parking was easy. The room had plenty of amenities—coffee, tea, hot chocolate, biscuits—and the breakfast was excellent. The bed was comfortable. The shower, however, was the worst I’ve ever used; there was no pressure at all. Our original room had a bath, but because the heating wasn’t working, we were moved to a room with only a small shower, and that heating didn’t work either. The restaurant was closed on the night of our stay, as were many other venues in town.

The restaurant and bar area were great, and the food was delicious. The old property had plenty of interesting features to explore. The double room at the front was too cold, especially the bedroom and bathroom. Showers didn’t drain quickly enough, leaving a pool of wastewater while we were still showering.
