The spot behind Paddington station was fine and you can travel by train or metro from there. The hotel looks very old and needs updating; the bathroom was recently refurbished and the beds were okay, but the room was small and had many damages here and there. The breakfast area also urgently needs a refresh, the buffet was very chaotic.

The breakfast selection was very good, with a cooked breakfast option as well as cereals and pastries. I felt the dining room was a little bit cramped. This was particularly noticeable during breakfast on Saturday and Sunday

The location and staff were good, and the bathroom was a decent size. Basement rooms were dark, with noise from the restaurant above and the street, and the window looked into a stairwell where people walked down; it had a very bright motion light turning on and off or staying on, so you had to keep blackout curtains fully drawn at all times.
