A lovely little villa with easy access to a beautiful shoreline. We were a party of six and booked Bawan Villa for four nights, so we had the entire villa to ourselves. Each room had its own bathroom. The house was very clean and well equipped. The owners were kind and helpful and went out of their way to assist in any way they could. Would love to stay here again if we returned to Hikkaduwa. My only complaint is that the AC wasn’t cooling in one of the rooms and unfortunately wasn’t repaired during the stay.

I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone who wants to stay right on the beach and get into all the fun activities. The crew here are super friendly, and a big shout‑out to Sithum who runs the place—he set up awesome surfing lessons, a Madu River boat safari, and even a memorable turtle release. It’s a solid budget option that feels like home, and there are no rules about bringing your own alcohol or smoking. They even taught us how to cook local dishes, which was a highlight. Thanks to the whole team for making our time so enjoyable. Lots of love from Germany!

Quiet, close to everything you need—shop, bus stop, beach. The host is very pleasant. The villa has a beautifully kept area, and the food is tasty. The beach opposite isn’t suitable for swimming, so keep that in mind. You can get there by bus in about 10 minutes or by tuk‑tuk.
