Breakfast and coffee with a quiet lake view were lovely, and every staff member was kind and warm; the sea activities were fantastic, so we’ve decided to return next summer with the family, and there’s nothing else to add.

Every staff member gave wonderful service, the lake view in front of the lounge exceeded my expectations, the facilities were spotless everywhere, and the chef’s dedication to his cuisine was impressive; I could feel the owner’s enthusiasm in the hospitality and activities throughout, and thanks for correctly updating the name at the entrance. Beware: if you set the navigation to the shortest route, it will steer you onto a paved cycling road that loops counter‑clockwise around the three‑lake area, with no “no‑car” signs or turn‑around points, leaving you stuck with no way to get out.

The staff were friendly and the place felt homely, with a nice sense of space rather than feeling cramped, and the food stayed hot as it should. Both the building and the room looked clean, though the screen doors were inadequate, the Japanese‑style room could have used an extra chair, a modern bidet would be expected, and since the area is known for plums I wished they’d offered another plum‑based dish besides the umeboshi.
