The location is very central, the building looks pretty, but it seems poorly managed. The reception was very unfriendly, with an older lady who didn’t make us feel welcome at this Hyatt; the service didn’t match the Hyatt standard. To get help from a bellhop, you’d have to approach him personally—no one comes to you. The room was old, untidy, rotting, and not really clean.

The location was perfect, everything big in SF was within walking distance. The staff were super friendly, helpful, and professional.

The location was great. The doormen should be willing and able to give basic information and directions. I asked a doorman how to get to the Golden Gate Bridge, and before I could even finish, he interrupted and directed me to the concierge. The concierge was not on duty. It was completely reasonable for me, a guest at the hotel, to ask an employee for directions. He knew the concierge was not there, so he should have answered my question.
