“Would probably skip until they have sorted the building work.”

The rooms were nicely refurbished and the staff were exceptionally kind. However, extensive renovations were still in progress; most of the lobby floor and the gardens were unusable, and the adult pool was closed for the entire stay. The outside looked like a construction site, with work scheduled to continue until mid‑2027. Since I've stayed several times before, I know how much is being compromised right now. Also, the air‑conditioning kept resetting to 22 °C even though we wanted it at 19 °C at night.

“Great room, great view. Terrible hotel management not up to five stars level.”

We booked one of the most expensive rooms, which offered a stunning sea view. The property was under major renovation, a fact that wasn’t mentioned in the listing. We were greeted by a pile of construction material at the entrance and were right next to the construction area during breakfast. On top of that, a temporary check‑in counter for a group of over 200 guests from China occupied the entrance, and the hotel management did not separate regular guests from that group for breakfast, creating a total mess. Even though we understand the need for MICE, it should not affect regular guests. Finally, we were charged EUR 50 for parking, which was outrageous given how much we paid for the room.

“Melhor hotel de Barcelona”

The reception staff promptly arranged early check‑in, and the location, comfort, and room view were excellent. The breakfast was superb. Nothing else to note.
