The staff’s enthusiasm is a perfect example of how it should be. During dinner you are pampered. The hotel is old and could use a facelift.

We were welcomed nicely and could park our bikes in the barn. Dinner and breakfast were very good, and the beer garden was very pretty.

Breakfast was very hearty; the menu was okay and the bathroom was spacious and good. The bed edge was too high or the mattress too low; the stairs up were still just acceptable for people with mobility issues.
