The room was brand new and spotless, and despite being situated on a steep hill, it was easily accessible by taxi.

The location was superb—just five minutes from Santa Sofía and the Blue Mosque and six minutes from the Grand Bazaar—in a calm, safe neighbourhood, and Baran provided excellent service, refilling water bottles daily and offering a sufficient breakfast; however, housekeeping was inconsistent, sometimes forgetting to refill soap, once leaving a superior sheet off a bed, and providing only three towels for four guests, showing a bit of disorganization.
“Ottimo Hotel in zona pedonale”
The hotel sits in central Istanbul, on a quiet pedestrian street that lets you rest well, close to the T1 stop which is great for quick city travel and connections to other lines; the hotel is new, well kept and clean. Breakfast was mainly savory, with two types of sweet cake and Nutella, plus fruit. The reception was open 24/7 and that was handy for our very early departure, the staff were very kind and met all our small requests. The room we chose was small, and we hadn’t realized we’d be traveling with two large suitcases that made opening them a struggle.
“Έμεινα ενθουσιασμένη από την ευγένεια του προσωπικού.”
The front desk was excellent and very friendly, ready to help and guide us with whatever we asked. Breakfast was also very good. The location was incredibly close to the historic center (about a 10‑minute walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, and about 6 minutes from the Grand Bazaar). Although the accommodation was very clean and the cleaning ladies were very polite and eager to help, they didn’t have a set time for cleaning; some days they finished in the afternoon. That said, it didn’t diminish the service they provided, I was still satisfied with the cleanliness, it’s just that the timing could be improved.
The central location was great, but the rooms were very small and the breakfast was very basic.
The hotel was simple but perfect for a pleasant stay, offering everything needed and a very courteous, attentive team; breakfast was plentiful and tasty, the spot was superb—about a ten‑minute walk to Santa Sofía, the Blue Mosque and other sights—while the central location sat in a quiet neighbourhood ideal for rest, making it a great base for exploring the city, and there were no problems at all.
