The house is spacious, airy, and fits groups well. It has two double beds, three single beds, and two sofas. The bathroom is large, the shower cubicle is roomy, and the shower itself works nicely with hot water. Wi‑Fi stayed on throughout the stay, the TV had a few hiccups but was usable. The kitchen comes with basic utensils. It’s close to Lumiar’s small center. The entrance road into Lumiar is bad, no curb and very winding, making it dangerous; the inner streets (except the residential street) are relatively good. The weather is mild and pleasant. The overall experience was very bad, especially since we traveled with an 89‑year‑old man with limited mobility. For our family, lodging is more than a place to sleep; it’s part of the travel experience, tied to the destination and shaping the memories we take home. We sought cozy places where we could rest, mingle, and enjoy family time. Unfortunately, “Casa Vilarejo” (not a village house, but a back‑yard house) became one of the most unpleasant aspects of our trip. Before finishing the payments, I asked several times—both via the chat and WhatsApp—whether there were stairs, ramps, or any access issues that needed attention, because we were accompanied by an elderly person with mobility problems. I received no reply. When we arrived, we discovered the accommodation is located in the back of another house, on an unpaved street, and access is via a steep concrete slope. The structure advertised as a “ramp” looks like just a concrete layer on the hill, lacking proper accessibility. It was extremely hard to go up and down with our grandfather for the three days we stayed. He returned very tired and ended the trip with swollen legs and hip pain. On the second day, an even more embarrassing incident occurred: the toilet clogged after our grandfather used it. We had to buy a tool to unclog it. The flush is also poor. Additionally, the shower floor isn’t non‑slip, posing a risk for elderly people, children, and guests with limited mobility. The outdoor area was neglected, with a lot of weeds around the house and accumulated debris. The set of chairs on a small balcony was very dirty. I do not recommend this lodging for the elderly, small children, or people with disabilities.

The balcony was really pleasant – a nice spot to step out and enjoy the view. It made the room feel a bit more spacious and gave a relaxed vibe.

The place is in a quiet area, comfy, and just a short ride to Lumiar’s centre, which was great for getting around. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy anything else about the stay, so overall it fell short of my expectations.
