The view is amazing, the neighbors are very friendly, it's very colorful, the staff are extremely attentive, the cats are cute, you can see the whole city, I highly recommend it for adventure lovers, 11/10, I hope to return soon ❤️🇨🇴

The panorama and Gabriele's kindness are great, but the room smells too strong, the bed is uncomfortable, there's asbestos on the terrace roof, breakfast is makeshift, Gabriele's partner has no smile, the location is hard to reach, Uber won't arrive.

One of the hosts, Gabriel, was very friendly, yet we paid too much for the level and quality of service: 40€ per night for two in a dormitory, no hot water, poor bedding quality. We understand this is a hostel in a favela and may not match other hostels, but the price is far too high.

The room was huge and the view of Sugarloaf was amazing. The hosts were super friendly and let us use the kitchen and fridge, which was handy. The place sits in a favela, so the streets are a bit messy with dog poop and the water comes out lukewarm—fine in summer but a bit annoying when it rains or gets cold. Still, for the price and the easy public‑transport access, it’s a solid choice if you’re staying in Santa Teresa.
