“Disappointing experience — beautiful location, but poor service and organisation”

The hotel itself is clean and well maintained. The location is beautiful, right on the beach with lovely sea views. There are activities available, which is a nice option for guests. There is plenty of parking, which is very convenient if you are travelling by car. The beach and surrounding area are definitely one of the highlights of the hotel. Customer service was disappointing, and there seemed to be a real lack of communication between staff. We contacted the hotel beforehand to let them know we would be arriving early and asked if an early check‑in could be accommodated. We were told it would depend on availability, which we understood. When we arrived, we were told our room was ready. We completed the induction, were given a wristband and were then told the room just needed around 30 minutes to be prepared. We waited and eventually went for lunch. When we returned around 1 hour and 30 minutes later, we were told there had been a mistake and that the room actually wasn’t ready. We were then left waiting in the hotel lobby. This was particularly frustrating as we had explained our arrival time beforehand and were staying for a special occasion. We expected better communication and organisation. When we finally got into the room, it was very standard and didn’t feel particularly special or memorable. Breakfast was very basic and was more or less the same every day. The food wasn’t labelled, so you often had to guess what some of the dishes were. There was limited fresh juice and the overall breakfast selection was quite basic. The way the bread was presented also didn’t feel hygienic. The baguettes were left without cloths or suitable protection, meaning guests were handling them while cutting the bread. We requested assistance with laundry, but the laundry bag was left in our room for around 12 hours before anyone followed up on the request.

The beach and the pool were great. I was disappointed with the room’s location. I booked a room with a “direct sea view” but the view was actually of a low building, not the sea. I would appreciate a review of my case and a discount for this serious inconvenience. The room price was for a sea view, so it was higher. Thank you in advance for a favorable response.

“Dejligt hotel og mange frie solvogne når man er på ferie sidst i september”

I stayed in a lovely room on the 4th floor, with a terrace overlooking the sea, which was a good priority. The downside was that cats roamed the dining room at every meal. The dishes didn’t vary much, but they tasted good. If you don’t eat fish or shellfish, there isn’t much to choose from.
