Location, price, value, being on the 1st floor. The fridge, the microwave. No ice, cheap with towels, we had 2 asked for 2 and they wanted the 2 back we didnt use yet bc they felt 2 was enough for a 2 stay stay 4 2 ppl. And no ice machine. No facilites, no room to get buy on one side of the bed, the BBQ outside was to dirty to use, the chairvin the room was dirty needs shampooed

I never got breakfast, and even if I had, I probably wouldn’t have taken it. The manager was a decent person and helped whenever I asked, refusing to allow anyone to smoke inside. I arrived earlier than expected and he was helpful; initially he tried to charge me for an extra day, but when I said I would wait, he didn’t keep me waiting long and assisted with early check‑in. On entering, a damp smell greeted me. It wasn’t cold outside, but the air conditioner cycled every two minutes, making the room colder than expected. A constant drip in the bathroom was annoying. Oddly, the manager demanded a $100 CAD cash deposit or my credit card details, which I declined but he didn’t push. A woman then approached me offering $100 CAD for 30 minutes of services, claiming she had a room on the first floor; I felt sorry for her.

We booked three other hotels while trekking through Ontario, and this one had the biggest, brightest bathroom of them all. The person who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Having cooking facilities was very welcome and made our stay much more comfortable. Great place for the price, and no unhappy surprises! Maybe simpler TV functionality, but all four places I stayed at had this issue (some others were worse). Having YouTube available was nice though.
