Guest services were helpful and friendly, and the location was close to our cruise port, but the price was very, very high for the tiny room; the room was dirtier than expected, with a dirty headboard and floor; for almost $500/night we had higher expectations.

The welcome was excellent, the place was spotless, and the location was great because it’s close to the R line that takes you almost everywhere. The neighborhood feels family‑friendly and warm. Walking up 5th Avenue you can stock up on fresh fruit and veggies in the Latin grocery stores, which is rare in New York. Nothing to complain about.

At check‑in the desk clerk seemed clueless about what was happening. The parking is sketchy. The room is absolutely tiny; you barely fit in, and there’s almost no space between the beds. Bringing a baby made it a fire‑code violation once we set up the pack‑and‑play. Everyone was cranky because of the cramped space. I wouldn’t stay here even alone, let alone with other guests. The beds aren’t full‑size; my husband, who’s less than 6 ft, had his feet dangling off the bed—felt like a child’s bed. The mattresses felt inflatable. The “body wash” tasted like cheap hand soap, and the shampoo was more like lotion with no suds. The air conditioning seemed to work only at certain times; we left it on, came back hours later, and the room was sweltering even though the thermostat was set to 64. Turning it off and on fixed it, but the same thing happened overnight. It’s right next to an auto body shop, so there’s a lot of traffic and damaged vehicles lining the street. Only a few spaces at the front for parking at check‑in, so unless you’re dropped off you have to park blocks away. We walked across the street to a gas station and noticed some obviously sketchy people looking for trouble.
